March Madness

On March 16th, 2023, the annual March Madness tournament began its first round in Orlando at Amway Center. The city of Orlando has been a frequent host of March Madness events, including the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. With its world-class facilities, warm climate, and vibrant community, Orlando is an ideal destination for basketball fans from around the country.

The first six games of the tournament were played on Amway’s courts which included Duke University, Tennessee, Louisville, and more. Thanks to our Orlando Andy Frain team the tournament was a success!

Next the tournament headed to Louisville, KY, where our Andy Frain team was hard at work preparing for the event. The tournament took place at KFC Yum! stadium. The second round of the tournament in Louisville included matches between San Diego State, Alabama, Creighton, and Princeton.

For the final leg of the tournament, those who were lucky enough to make it played in Houston. Houston is a popular destination for the Final Four due to its world-class facilities and vibrant community. The tournament typically takes place at NRG Stadium, a state-of-the-art stadium located in Houston’s NRG Park complex.

“We came off of 24 days of Rodeo where our Houston staff worked over 8,000 shifts, and rolled straight into 24/7 Final Four coverage, culminating in another 1,800 shifts worked through Championship Monday. It was a monstrous 5-week stretch of work, and the team handled themselves and supported each other in incredible fashion to be able to pull it off. It was fun, it was stressful, it was exhausting, and at the end of the day, it was a slam dunk for everyone involved.”

The Final Four this year consisted of UCONN, Florida Atlantic University, San Diego State, and the University of Miami. The tournament ended as a victory for the University of Connecticut, as the UCONN Basketball men’s team took the final prize.
