The National Basketball Association hosted their annual draft event for incoming players to enter the league. This year’s draft was hosted in Brooklyn, New York, at the Barclays Center. Andy Frain Services is proud to partner with three NBA teams: Atlanta Hawks, Orlando Magic, and the Memphis Grizzlies. The Orlando Magic started off the night with two first round picks: 19-year old, Anthony Black from the University of Arizona and 20-year old, Jett Howard from the University of Michigan.
Next up was the Atlanta Hawks who ended their regular season with a 41-41 record which pitted them as seventh seed slot overall. With pick number 15 in the first round they selected another University of Michigan star guard, Kobe Bufkin. In round two the Hawks made two selections: Penn State’s forward, Seth Lundy, and Senegalese Washington State power forward, Mouhammed Gueye.
The Memphis Grizzlies had their chance later in the draft with two second round picks. With pick number 45, the Grizzlies selected University of South Carolina’s power forward, Gregory Jackson II. From overseas, they selected Tarik Biberovic, a Bosnian-Turkish forward.
Andy Frain Services would like to congratulate the new rookies and wish for a successful season with our three arenas: Amway Center, State Farm Arena, and FedEx Forum.
